-=> Quoting STEWY to SUZZE TIERNAN <=-
ST> I LOVED "Desperation", thought it was right up there with "The Stand".
ST> Well, maybe I just wasn't in a SK mood when I tried reading the
ST> book...after talking with all you guys here I shall have to go and try
ST> to read it again:-)
ST> I also had the same problem with one of his earlier books "The
ST> Talisman".. it just didn't hold my interest; found it very boring, so
ST> I quit reading it...again I will try to read it someday soon...I have
ST> already tried a couple of times with "The Talisman" but to no avail...
Another one of my favorites! I just recommended it to a customer and
they loved it too.
ST> What other books of SK's do you like? Have you read the Gunslinger
ST> series? I'm glad that the new installment is finally out...I am going
ST> to start the series again just to get up to speed...I read a lot of
ST> books, so my brain will need a tune up in that series, just to
ST> remember what is going on..
My favorite is "The Shining", the scariest book I have ever read. I also
liked "Gerald's Game", although I know it is not a popular favorite. I
think he really did a good job of getting into a woman's head and her
fears in that situation. As I just stated in anothr message, I tried
reading the first Dark Tower book many times and couldn't get into it.
But friends have said I should force myself through the first one as the
rest are very good.
