-> -> I have a query for you all...if you allow your bird out of the cag

-> ROFL! Belive me, I am thinking along those lines! Actually, I've been
-> considering taking up the carpet and laying down Pergo long before I
-> got the bird. Pergo is a tile-like floor covering that can be made to
-> look like hardwood floor.
I also like the training to poop on command idea...but one
thought came to mind...if you teach your bird to poop in one area away
from the cage, what happens when you leave the bird in the cage? I
guess to have to take him/her out to do their business....hemmmm, oh
well. I can remember a friend that taught his bird to go on command or
was that not to go...in any event he studied the bird and saw that it
would lift its tail just before it was to go...he would then lightly
place his finger on the birds tail as it lifted and the bird would not
go. He would then move the bird to the desired area...Hey, my wife
wants to know if the bird can be taught to do house work.....
Actually, it would appear that you could probably make a very nice
little area around the bird cage using the desired flooring material
that could be cleaned and mopped easily...sounds like a cool idea.
