Hello All!
One of our budgerigars has a rather strange eating habit. Where as
all the others tend to go to the seed pot and stuff their crop full,
HE, on the other hand, will grab one or two seeds, climb all the
way to the top perch, chew them for a few seconds, climb all the way
back down, grab a couple more and repeat the trip again. This little
activity sometimes goes on for a half an hour at the time. The only
other budgie I've ever seen to eat this way was his mother, in her
younger years. Nowadays she finds it far easier to position herself
on a perch nearest to a sprig of millet :-)
Anyone got any ideas?
Bye For Now,
Derek
