5times A day is not normal. Most Parrots will go between once every 15 
inutes
to 40 minutes. Please start giving the apples back. The fruit is good for the 
bird and if the bird was eating it reguarly it must have enjoyed them. In the 
wild these birds did not live on seeds or fruit alone an normally ate more 
fruit than seed. Even if Your bird is on pellet food it should still have 
ome
fruit and vegtables for proper nutrition and health.
