There are varibles as to when they stop breeding. Since their life
span is not that long you could not expect them to keep it up until
they die. It also would depend on how many clutches a year you would
allow them to lay. As they get older they would also have less eggs
or less fertile eggs in a clutch.
Line breeding is father to daughter...mother to son. But, unless the
birds are exceptional or you are trying to get a color I would breed
unrelated birds. When you enbreed you get the good qualities with
the bad.
