Actually, the problen with FIFTP getting stuck after logging into an
OpenVMS FTP server might be that you have to specify the version number
when deleting a file (i.e., DEL name.type;* rather than just DEL name.type)
or you'll get an error back.  In any case, FIFTP to an OpenVMS FTP server
just gets stuck right after logging in.  It's vigorously trying to do
something though as the data lights on my modem are blinking madly when
doing this over a PPP link.
