Cell phones are VERY Expensive to use. And Particularly we don't want
those systems Paid for by TAXPAYER dollars having Unlimited usage. Plus
particularly in Law Enforcement there are a lot of places where Phones
are not avaiable or convient. And despite the Claims of the Cell
Companies there are a lot of Holes in the System where connections are
either not possible or drop out. A Good Public Service system typically
has coverage in those areas. The reverse is also true of course. But the
Public System is already there and Operating. Why add the Expense of
duplicating some of it with Cell Phones?
