I wouldn't count on it!
I'm not suggesting that you try it to find out, but our Yellow Cheek
used to kick the crap out of our big old tomcat!  He TERRIFIED the cats
who usually slunk away when he squawked.
I watched him sneak up on a cat who was sleeping one day, and bite the
FIRE out of the cat's tail!  The parrot thought that was one of the
funniest things he'd ever done!
Cats _are_ dangerous to birds though.  They're the cat's natural prey
who just never get over the urge to stalk them.  Keep a sharp eye
peeled!
