STEWY said in a message to LAWRENCE GARVIN:
LG> I think it ranks right up there, but I just finished reading "The
LG> Body" in _Different Seasons_, and truly think it's probably one of the
LG> best -stories- he's ever written.
S> Geez, it's been so long since I read Different Seasons; you'll have
S> to refresh my memory for me...
"The Body" was the story about the four boys who took off on the adventure
down the GS&WM tracks to 'discover' the dead body of their schoolmate.
LG> Despite what I've been "told" about King's statements that this was
LG> the last, the afterword to _Wizard and Glass_ implies otherwise. Read
LG> this... and decide for yourself. It's dated October 27, 1996. (Over one
LG> year from writing to publication!)
S> Ah so you went and had a peek did you?
Yep. :)
S> Have you started the book yet?
Nope. Just went to the store last nite to get The Waste Lands -- discovered
that the versions of Book I and II that the book club sent me is not part of
the same 'set' as that currently shipping, so I'm going back to buy The
Gunslinger and The Drawing of the Three, as part of that set as well.
A complete matched set of the The Dark Tower books. :)
I'll start reading The Waste Lands tonight. Should have both of 'em finished
by this weekend.
