I'm curious about single parrots living without a mate. Would it be better
  to buy a pair of parrots than just one parrot (who over time might get
  lonely and go insane)?
    I saw some film of parrots that went insane and it was scary to see and
  I wouldn't want that to happen. Also can parrots born from the same 
arents\
  "litter" mate successfully? I mean inbred humans supposedly can produce a
  higher occurance of all sorts of "odd" people, are parrots the same as
  people in that respect? TIA
