EH>I know.... I've been worried about it for several years, and she just
EH>tells me not to worry! She loves him to pieces but just can't seem to
EH>keep him in the house. Our weather of course is such that he isn't in
EH>danger from THAT anyway.
If she really loved him she'd find a way to keep him indoors...
EH>She's the one that lost her beautiful young
EH>Yellow Naped by letting him eat tuna-fish salad! Bout killed her! He
EH>ate practically everything SHE ate, but tuna-fish killed him dead!
Must have been spoiled--tuna is GOOD for parrots. I feed mine tuna
regularly (but not with mayo or other additives--it's just plain, fresh
from the can).
EH>-> I saw a magician who used MACAWS and UMBRELLA COCKATOOS in his magic
EH>-> act--that impressed me more than anything David Copperfield ever did!
EH>Absolutely! McCaws will do anything you can CONVINCE them to do, but
EH>sometimes they can't seem to understand! Cockatoos, I don't
EH>know anything about!
Cockatoos are tough to convince or coerce. Macaws are impossible.
We saw this magician 'live' at a magic convention a couple years
back. I have, unfortunately, forgotten his name. This man had the big
birds popping out of his coat like doves. He produced 2 macaws and the
big 'too from a puff of smoke onstage. I leapt up into a standing
ovation before his act was half over!
