Further testing under MS-DOS 6.22 reveals that it's un-usable for Fido
(POTS) because the built-in Comms routines don't work. To be more precise,
when the Netcall "button" is pressed, OpenXP crashes big-style with the
following garbage on the screen .....

---------- 8< ----------
Page Fault cr2=00265f31 in RMCB at eip=b49d7; flags=3006
eax=00000001 ebx=000010b6 ecx=00000000 edx=00000001 esi=00001bfe
edi=000020bc
ebp=0000207c esp=0000206c cs=a7 ds=3b es=33 fs=33 gs=af ss=33 error=0006
---------- 8< ----------

If I install a fossil (ADF) to bypass OpenXP's Comms routines, the fossil
does what it's supposed to do but then OpenXP just sits there reporting
"No connect" when, in fact, the modems *have* successfully negotiated.

Just as a cross-check, I fired up OpenXP's terminal and that crashed with
the same errors as above.

Regards,
Martin
