Hi ya Lawrence:-)

LG> STEWY said in a message to JOE PHILLIPS:
LG> I've heard from a semi-reliable source that word is out that this -is-
LG> the last book. I have the book in my possession, but have not yet
LG> started to read it. I need to find a copy of Waste Lands first. I am
LG> tempted, though, to check the book for a foreward/afterward that would
LG> give a clue....
Well, lets hope it not the last book...you never know with rumours what
is the real story...maybe he will end the series maybe he won't...I an
hoping he continues the series myself...
LG> Must be "just you", Stewy. :)
Well, I have like all of his other books...must be just that I wasn't into
it at the time...I shall try again most definetly..
LG> I think it ranks right up there, but I just finished reading "The
LG> Body" in _Different Seasons_, and truly think it's probably one of the
LG> best -stories- he's ever written.
Geez, it's been so long since I read Different Seasons; you'll have to
refresh
my memory for me...I tend to read a lot of books...in just the last 2 years
I've read over 160 books..so one tends to forget about other books after a
while..all the better, cuz then I can go back and read a book I haven't read
in a couple years:-)
LG>
LG> Despite what I've been "told" about King's statements that this was
LG> the last, the afterword to _Wizard and Glass_ implies otherwise. Read
LG> this... and decide for yourself. It's dated October 27, 1996. (Over one
LG> year from writing to publication!)
Ah so you went and had a peek did you?
LG> "...the book is here, after all. I don't know if it's good or bad--I
LG> lost all sense of perspective around page four hundred--but it's here.
LG> That alone seems like a miracle. And I have started to believe I might
LG> actually live to complete this cycle of stories. (Knock on wood.)
LG> "There are three more to be told, I think, two set chiefly in
LG> Mid-World and one almost entirely in our world..."
LG> Of course, whether or not they ever actually get written, is another
LG> issue, but based on this information, it's obvious that _Wizard and
LG> Glass_ is not the final chapter in _The Dark Tower_.
Yes I agree..whether he commits himself to writing these last 3 is
debateble..he seems to take longer between books now then he did say 8 or9
years ago...
Have you started the book yet? I'm still waiting for mine to arrive...
