EH>I offered to let the SHOP VAC suck up the Kookyroo the other day when I
EH>was cleaning up his area mess. He promised he'd stop moulting if I
EH>didn't suck all his feathers off TODAY!
I bet he lied, huh?
EH>It's those little bitty "underwear" feathers that drive me insane! (He
EH>also flings maize seed everywhere!)
Try setting up a small box fan, pointing into a corner (no direct breeze
at the bird), and attach a couple furnace filters to the front & back of
the fan. This device acts as a cheap air cleaner, and grabs about 90% of
those little floaty feathers out of the air. I have one in my basement
bird room, and it gets FILLED in a week. But I can vacuum out the
filters and re-use them for a few weeks before they get too dusty to get
clean anymore, so it's cheap to operate.
