Thomas Nietsch said in a message to Lawrence Garvin:
LG> The word I got from a friend today, who keeps up with the King
LG> stuff a bit better than I do, has been informed that _Wizards_ will
LG> be the last installment in The Dark Tower.
LG> Apparently the reason he understood for this was that King was no
LG> longer able to deal with the "mindset" necessary to write the
LG> Roland storyline. _Wizards_ arrived here in the mail earlier
LG> this week; unfortunately, I've not read _Waste Lands_ yet, so
LG> I'm on my way out to find that book tomorrow, so I can read both of
LG> 'em this week.
TN> By 'Wizards' you mean 'Wizard and Glass'?
Yep. (Discovered late last night that there's no 's' on the end of Wizard.)
TN> This must be a joke! Can anybody else confirm this information?
Well, see my post from last nite -- seems the afterword to _Wizard_
contradicts what I've heard, although it was written over a year ago, so
maybe King has changed his mind. Nonetheless, _Wizard_ is not the end of the
tale.
TN> I can't believe SK would do this. He'd have to be afraid of being
TN> assassinated by disappointed fans. :-)
Hehe...
