YR> MD> No sarcasm, though I do type out my lyrics and chord changes, but the
YR> MD> music is in my head. It seems to work better that
YR> MD> way, for us, that is.
YR> MD> We're a blues band and we have several Luddites in
YR> MD> the band . It
YR> MD> doesn't bother me, I play blues with the band, and whatever I want
YR> MD> without the band.
YR>I really didn't think using MIDI for helping you in the band. I think its
a
YR>great idea. Gonna propose it to a few of my friends that have bands.
YR>What is a Luddite?
A Luddite is a person against technological change. It comes from back
in the 1800, at the beginning of the industrial revolution in the
textile mills in New England. A bunch of followers (here's were my
facts get shakey and I wave my hands around) of a guy named Ludd or
something similar were dead set against some new machine, a loom or
weaving machine perhaps, that would replace people in the textile
factory.........the were called "Luddites" and the term has come to mean
"one who is against all technological advancement." So in terms of a
blues band, that means back to tube amps, vintage guitars, etc.
