WU>OG>I must diagree with you on the fact that a Mustang will not last a year
WU>OG>with a super charger with 6lbs of boost. The engine as it comes from
WU>OG>the factory will last 75k-90k with that much boost under normal driving
WU>OG>conditions. If you are into transplanting engines from one car to
WU>OG>another (besides making emissions standards nearly impossible to make),
WU>OG>transplant the nice old Saleen engine into the standard Mustang with
WU>OG>some optional low rear end gearing. As you appear to be unaware too the
WU>OG>more power you use out of an engine the less it will last. Import cars
WU>OG>are getting bigger and more powerful, and they are starting to show
WU>OG>improvments in overall design quality. This doesn't mean though that
WU>OG>they are some forms of super cars that exceed any American vehicle
WU>OG>because they have a Japanese name or such. If you wish to compare
WU>OG>modified cars with non stock engines, do so with both vehicles. It
WU>OG>doesn't really work well if you pick and choose a light car and a
WU>OG>sport's car engine and compare it to a stock production car.

WU>Transplanting engines of the same year and as long as all emmission
WU>controls are retained is legal under the state of California. American
WU>engines had the designs of the best engines in the world...however, all
WU>that jazz caught up to them and so they figured that if the engines
WU>lasted forever, NOBODY will buy another car again.
WU>I compared the two cars to give everyone a fair perspective on these
WU>car's potentials. Most people are aware of how stock production cars
WU>perform...and only a handful (so it seems) are aware of what I'm really
WU>talking about. I'm not saying that it's the FASTEST car out there...but
WU>I would say that it indeed is the GREATEST...all around car! It's fuel
WU>efficient...it's fast, and by all means...it's a practical car to own!
WU>For a car that performs like that...it'll cost a lot of money to
WU>maintain.

I think i see what've been saying, but the problem is you're kinda
comparing two (three?) cars that have been designed with different
purposes. I see the Acura gsr, prelude, etc as sporty ECONOMICAL cars,
but the camaros. stangs, etc, or more of mid level sports cars. Now
you're buying economy, which reliability usually folows, and the other
you're buying mostly power and possibly an image.
