I may be wrong, but I would guess that you have the intermail shortcut
set to automatically close the window on closing the program.  It is a
DOS application after all, and it opens up a DOS window.  When
Intermail shuts down becuase it switches to your BBS software, it will
close the DOS window it uses.  Check your settings for that window.
