RN> But would you agree it is useless to keep the robot message areas
RN> such as FIDO-REQ and the like?

that depends... if one is searching for a file that they know was
distributed and announced in one of those areas, then it makes a perfect
archive to search ;)

ml>RN> JAM -- an acronym for Just Another Mess. (-:

 RN>
RN> Have you tried Mark May's MK Source for Msg Access?

yes... i use it exclusivly in my pascal apps... also, mark and i have
talked about re-licensing the code and placing it in a SVN/GIT repository
so that it can be worked on and fixed where needed... i know there are a
few ports of it to other languages than just TP/BP and i've also added a
few updates to it as well... in fact, i'm also the moderator of the MK
support echo but i don't think the backbone is carrying it any more...
IIRC, when it was given to me, it was only in regional distribution and
then that went away when a new RC was selected and older/dead echos were
drop from the regional distribution chain...

here's another "funny"... i'm always being confused with the
various marC lewis' around fidonet and i have also been confused with Mark
May as well ;)
