i don't want or need to purge all the messages from my system... as far as
archiving the echos i moderate, even back in the day when they toted 500+
messages each, i never archived them like you and other moderators speak of
doing... i see no need in it other than in a rare case where a particular
post might be held on to for future needs and then maybe only to remind an
individual why they were warned or banned... but, there was only one crazy
overly-religious fool in Raleigh that fell into that and then only once or
twice...

ml> Largest Jam Area -

RN> JAM -- an acronym for Just Another Mess. (-:

not by a long shot ;)

HMB (Hudson) can't touch it...
GMB (Gold) hasn't touched it that i know of...
EMB (Ezycomm) didn't back in the day and hasn't that i know of...
SDM (*.MSG) surely can't touch it...
SQU (Squish) hasn't touched it TTBOMK...
PCBoard's format definitely never came close...
WWIV wasn't anywhere near the game...
Renegade? nope...

i've worked with most every bbs message base format out there and have
never found one that gave me everything that JAM does... heck, JAM can do a
lot more than what it is used for (plain text messages) but those
"advanced" capabilities haven't gone further than they did
because of the fall of the BBS as the main communications means...
