All heard Kurt Ullman say, "Alcoholic Liver Disease," and then...
KU> Q: I have a relative who is an alcoholic. Is there a hereditary link
KU> and can I be tested to see if I am at greater risk for alcoholism?
KU> A:. By studying the incidence of alcoholism in families, doctors have
KU> firmly established a genetic link to the risk of having drinking
KU> problems. However, currently there is no way to tell if a specific
KU> person in a family is at risk.
I believe environment has a significant effect, but you're
correct as far as the common thought these days. I know of one
"alcoholic-laden" family whose adopted son became an alcoholic.
He may have had the predisposition for alcoholism, but the
environment he grew up in surely componded the likelyhood of
acquiring that disease.

BTW: The "(c)" doesn't mean anything legally. You either use
"copyright" or "COPR" (which you have). You should also state
"All rights reserved" if you want to be protected in countries
like Mexico.
