DO>You were a little misleading when you said you put an integra motor in a
DO>civic and bingo, ran 12's. The integra motor puts out 170 horsepower in
DO>GS-R trim, at the crankshaft.. that's probly less than 140 at the rear
DO>wheels. Whatever you guys did to your motor added another 50 horsepower.
DO>When you wrote your original message, it sounded like you threw a stock
DO>motor in the car.
DO>A stock Civic has approximately 95 horsepower at the rear wheels. Adding
DO>100 horsepower isn't gonna drop the 1/4 mile time 5 seconds. Did you
DO>guys do something else to the car?
DO>Argh, I keep saying "rear wheels" make that "front wheels".

Dropping an Integra motor into a Civic just like that brings the car
into low 14's...with all the bolt on's (header, exhaust...no cat,
intake...throttle body) it's down to high 13's. With high compression
pistons, tuned ECU, angle-milled polished heads along with a few tricks
in the combustion chamber...we turned out 192-ish at the
wheels...compression is around 11.6:1
