Interesting thought. Might be a part of the problem but I learned more
today, by accident. I have this P-500 hooked up to the same phone line that
my old BBS runs on. I am always sure to shut off the ol' 486 when I am
working on the P-500 but this morning I left the P-500 running when the BBS
was working. The P-500 was just sitting there with no programs running and
not online. A user called in and the ol' 486 worked well as usual but the
P-500 locked up. I tested it just to make sure it was not co-incidental and
it failed consistently! Therefore the problem must be in Windows setup. It
would be easy for me to figure out with DOS or any Windows program up to and
including Windows 98 but I can't find a way to see what IRQ and address string
the modem is running on. :-( I ran "msinfo32" and it gave me loads of
information but not what I am looking for.

Ken
