The CD only costs a few cents, then you have to get it mastered ($64,000 - 
sixty four thousand dollars), then it has to be pressed (it would probably 
only cost Sony around $1.50, but third party publishers would have to pay 
around $3.50)..
So a CD costs around 6 dollars total, then theres marketing, & you have to 
pay the dev team, & any other overheads..  CD's aren't has cheap has most 
people think..  It's not like burning your own gold cd with a CD-R..
Sony say that to make a profit, they have to sell 72,000 copys of a game..
