On January 28th '98 you wrote to me:

Well, here's new information:  Disney and Pixar have just announced that
they've changed their minds and the Toy Story sequel will not be going
direct-to-video...  It will premEAR in movie theaters first!
Yippee!  I wanted to see the sequel on the big screen rather than my TV
set first.
I bet Disney has looked at the performance of its "golden child" division,
Feature Animation, and realized that what Disney & Pixar did with the
original "Toy Story" was far better both in content and in box office
receipts than Disney's animated features of late -- and so they decided
to bring out the "Toy Story" sequel on video *after* it plays in theaters
rather than only coming out on video.
