Howdy Joe:

I am sure you were not wrong but apparently that is not the entire
problem. InterMail seems to work great. I can drop to DOS and open the
Renegade program. I call in and it works great. That tells me both programs
are setup right (or close anyway) and I don't think the problem is in the
IMRUN.BAT file.

{at}echo off
cd \
X00 E B,1,15200 T=1024 R=2048 NOPOST F=15
CD IM
:LOOP
C:
CD \IM
IM /M

if errorlevel = 250 goto sysmaint

if errorlevel = 99 goto bbscall

:sysmaint
cd \im
sysmaint.bat

:bbscall
dobbs

I then go to the DOBBS.BAT file and it looks right to me:

EXEBBS 24000 2 110 /Arg/V34/Lapm/V42bis 1

I believe we went over that before and agreed there is nothing wrong with
it. (but I don't trust my memory :-) Lets take a look at the EXEBBS.BAT file:

CD \RG
RENEGADE -b%1%4 -x%3 -q
IF ERRORLEVEL 2 GOTO NETMAIL
CD..
echo ath0>com2
IMRUN

:NETMAIL
CD \RG
RENEMAIL -5
C:\IM\GECHO
Ge386 SCAN
CD \ECHO ATH0>com2
IMRUN

It is exactly like the one that is now running in the ol' 486 and under
Windows 95. Seems to me like it should run.

I did notice something strange when I ran the "XU S" command
at the DOS
prompt. Here is the information it gave me:

If I am reading it correctly, it tells me that Com-2 is running at 03E8
address and at IRQ 4. InterMail and Renegade are setup that way. But notice
the "Current Mode" readings. Sgouldn't that be "8N1?"
If so, whay can I do
to fix the problem?

Regards,

Ken
