KN> Hmm... Please define your personal meaning of 'worthwhile'...
SA> I think I know what he wants to see happen. For everything to go back
SA> to the way it used to be. Good wholesome entertaining stuff that
SA> won't offend anyone's senses. I can honestly say up front and without
SA> prejudice that it is an impossible feat at best. And if it did happen
SA> we may get more than we bargained for and no one would be happy but
SA> himself.
This sparks the great debate... but my question to you is this...
"Would you like Disney to be succesful and produce a Animated
feature twice a year, or would you prefer Disney to be unsuccessful
and produce an Animate Feature every other year?"
Lets look at the late 70's and early 80's under the leadership
of that business shark (tongue in cheek if you hadnt noticed yet)
Ron Miller. Hmmm we got that incredible 'classic' The Black
Claudron. Oh how we would like to see more of THAT! Now with
the success of the WDC (Or Disney Enterprises, Inc can't remember
when the change goes into effect), we get two maybe three features
annually. Now with the increase, we get more of what is considered
'junk' but we do get more.
The 'Walts' were given their chance to run the company after Walt's
and Roy's deaths.... They failed, now the 'Roys' have their chance,
and it is making money hand over fist... but of course Walts name
is getting ripped off of things faster than you can say Mickey Mouse.
You have to sit back and ask what you want and what you can settle
for.
