Thanks for your very detailed reply Robert.  I appreciate the time you
took to explain it to me.  Perhaps, if I am not being a pain in your
side, I might ask another question.  I have an Echostar 410 with Video
Pal.  I have lost my original doc book and your note made me remember
something.  At one time I remember that there was a menu I could get to
that set the polarity automatically once a bird was tuned.  I also
remember turning that automatic setting off to tune a specific program I
was watching.
When I called the dealer he told me that he also could not find a book
for this model as he was selling the little digital stuff now.  I also
noticed when he came to tune it for me that he did not access that menu
at any time.  Since the obvious conclusion is a polarity problem would
you on some wild chance know how I can get to that menu again or how I
could get another manual.  Somehow I think the entire problem could be
the reversal of this little switch.
