If someone (probably me, but I would love it if someone else wants
to do it) starts the ball rolling, that someone must follow the
rules for creating a new comp.* newsgroup. These rules are posted
in news.answers, but I can summarize: a Request For Comments posted
in news.groups, then a Call For Votes posted in news.groups, with
votes emailed by people who read the CFV in news.groups. You don't
get an emailed ballot. You email your vote after reading the ballot
in news.groups. EVERYTHING must be done in news.groups.
Take a look at news.groups. There are usually two to five new
newsgroup proposals going on. Some are nice and polite, nad others
involve all hell breaking loose. It's a hoot to watch...
