I have a program (NIST Time Sync utility) that still requires the following
command in the Batch file before the program starts :

Mode COM2: 96,N,8,1

I use InterMail v2.5 + WildCat! v4.20SL BBS under native MS-DOS 6.22. :-)

My XU S (COM2 = Modem, COM1 = Mouse):

My XU Startup:

Those Doors that *require* a fossil execute "X00 Capture:ON", the
Door itself
runs, then "X00 Capture:OFF". Makes the whole fossil thing
transparent .

Also, if your Mailer calls the BBS seamlessly, (which then has to re-start
the mailer when done) the Window should remain open. Since it closes, something
must be terminating abnormally ... what do the logs show? What OS? Do you
perhaps spawn a separate thread/process erroneously?
