Doug,
  I have noticed this much,the windows cursor usualy IS the cursor in the DOS 
box
but if you "full screen" the box by pressing [alt]+[enter] you will see the
"DOS" cursor.I dunno if this helps ya any but its my observation.
Also most things done with Pbasic will look smoother and work better maybe 
even in some
cases faster if you do use full screen mode as mentioned above.
