Subject: winapi mciapi messages

I have a previous version of powerbasic for vb3, and I have used it a
little. However, I am trying to intercept the messages that are being
sent from an MCI device, I used sendstring to communicate with driver to
light up a few leds on the devices. But the device has several buttons
that I need to know when they are pressed and released and the such.

I have documentation, about the MM_MCI_CONTROL messages and their
defintions. But not being a windows api with c program I lost. I
downloaded a vbx that intercepts messages, to subclass a control,
however I cannot get it to see the messages comming from the device.

I was wondering if there are any examples using messages from windows
mci driver with powerbasic or is it even possible. I would be willing
to pay someone to look at the documentation for me as I am way out of
league with this project.

Help appreciated.
