Sheila, I do Medline searches for free through a dial in system.  There are 
various "brain allergy" type things.  Gluten is only one of them. I have not 
seen anything implicating Gluten in actual brain atrophy - I've seen it in 
regard to Schizphrenia symptoms.  If they know his frontal lobe has atrophy, 
they must call this something. If you could give me the name of the syndrome
