BM>SA>BM> That said, the Marketplace is being almost totally
BM>SA>BM> redone. ... and construction is under weigh on ... a McDonalds.
BM>SA> But why pray tell a McDonald's? I like the fast food chain but in a
BM>SA> place like Disney?
BM>Clearly you never tried to eat what they served at Goofy's Grill.
BM>Goofy's was to McDonalds what McDonalds is to the Coral Isle Cafe.
BM>I'm not sure just why I'm so opposed to even the McD's French Fry cart
BM>in the Magic Kingdom and so accepting of a full McDonalds at Downtown
BM>Disney. It just doesn't bother me as much there.
BM>I do have to acknowledge that McD's is for many youngsters (and others)
BM>not yet possesed of a discriminating palate the epitome of exciting
BM>dining. Who am I--indeed who is Disney--to deny them their most magical
BM>of meals?
BM>Will I eat there? Probably not--never so long as my wife is with me.
BM>OTOH, I'll probably never ride Dumbo, take a jet-ski out on Bay Lake, or
BM>play a round of golf, yet I think you'll likely agree that these tastes
BM>are also appropriate inclusions in a Park that aspires to be the grand
BM>keeper of the magic for all.
True. I hope The Hamburglar doesn't steal any french fries from The
Starlight Cafe or The Ghost Host at The Haunted Mansion. He wouldn't
have anything to serve at the ghostly un-birthday party every day
and night. :)
