Clearly you never tried to eat what they served at Goofy's Grill.
Goofy's was to McDonalds what McDonalds is to the Coral Isle Cafe.
I'm not sure just why I'm so opposed to even the McD's French Fry cart
in the Magic Kingdom and so accepting of a full McDonalds at Downtown
Disney.  It just doesn't bother me as much there.
I do have to acknowledge that McD's is for many youngsters (and others)
not yet possesed of a discriminating palate the epitome of exciting
dining. Who am I--indeed who is Disney--to deny them their most magical
of meals?
Will I eat there?  Probably not--never so long as my wife is with me.
OTOH, I'll probably never ride Dumbo, take a jet-ski out on Bay Lake, or
play a round of golf, yet I think you'll likely agree that these tastes
are also appropriate inclusions in a Park that aspires to be the grand
keeper of the magic for all.
