subject: BIOS Y2k Bugs

ML> This post will be my last word on the subject.

I see. Well; I was preparing a reply but I guess I'll just thank you for
your reply and hope that someone else will step up to answer my
question.

ML> If this isn't an easily-fixed design error dating from AT days (a
ML> typical Y2K bug) that wasn't noticed until comparatively recently,
ML> what is it?

Oh I think I was very clear when I said that I had no wish to open this
topic. I've had this discussion enough times to conclude that:

1) People suddenly have a _very_ flexible definition of "bug" when it
comes to discussing Y2K, especially as it applies to the BIOS, and

2) People will believe whatever the heck they like, regardless of what
you can prove or disprove or how reasonable you are. [:)

So thanks anyway. Take care and TTYL.
