  Boy, you're most definitely in the dark when it comes to PC gaming!  Quake 
II is one of the biggest PC games to come out in the past while.  It's a 
1st-person shooter with true 3D environments, 700-polygon characters, 
coloured lighting, and up to 200 players on the Internet.
  The closest you console folks would probably come to it right now would be 
Quake 64.  That's the original game with coloured lighting and texture 
smoothing, but less-detailed environments.
