I must diagree with you on the fact that a Mustang will not last a year
with a super charger with 6lbs of boost. The engine as it comes from
the factory will last 75k-90k with that much boost under normal driving
conditions. If you are into transplanting engines from one car to
another (besides making emissions standards nearly impossible to make),
transplant the nice old Saleen engine into the standard Mustang with
some optional low rear end gearing. As you appear to be unaware too the
more power you use out of an engine the less it will last. Import cars
are getting bigger and more powerful, and they are starting to show
improvments in overall design quality. This doesn't mean though that
they are some forms of super cars that exceed any American vehicle
because they have a Japanese name or such. If you wish to compare
modified cars with non stock engines, do so with both vehicles. It
doesn't really work well if you pick and choose a light car and a
sport's car engine and compare it to a stock production car.
