And then there are those of us who compose Jazz, Art Music (Always hated the
term Classical-- felt like it gave Romantic, Baroque, And all of the other
styles short shrift...), Rock, Blues, and whatever idiom seems to work for
he
particular song.
I'm currently working on a suite for full concert band, as well as two jazz
arrangements for High School Stage Band, (Miles Davis's "Seven Steps to
Heaven"
and an original piece for Bone section and rhythm called "The Real Bananna
Joe") and composing for my rock project. I have two plus albums of flute jazz
waiting for the right flautist, and perform in two different projects. (Oh
yeah, as well as working a full time job and a full time marriage, plus lots
of
other things....)
And the piece for concert band, "Fearless," is rather impressive.....
