I may be picking nits here, but notice in various messages...It could
be wrongly leaving a space between AT and #.  Should be all run
together, i.e.,  AT#CID=1
I think when you leave a space, then it quits reading the line thus
it may be only "seeing" AT and not the rest of it, thus an error msg.
