-> I remember when the NES first came out. Every kid on my block had it

In the latest NextGen console wars I went for the Saturn since
I'm a big RPG fan, and the Saturn was touted as the "RPG'ers console of
choice"... Now I'll never buy another Sega machine until they back up
their hype with proof on the store shelves.
I own the Saturn, PSX, and the N64, but I'm firmly a PSX fan,
simply because they deliver the games, but it was with some bitterness
in the beginning when I had to give up on the Saturn and buy the PSX.
Now, with all the great RPG's and adventure games, I'm a solid fan.
FF7 was a Saturn-killer for some of my friends. That's when they
junked their Saturn and Sega loyalty and moved over to the Sony camp.
Once Working Delays...oops, sorry...Working Designs brings out Magic
Knight Rayearth for the Saturn, and I finish it, the Saturn goes into
the box with all of the other Sega failures, and my last vestiges of
loyalty to Sega will be over.
For me, it is pretty much the same for Nintendo as well. They
were great during the SNES days, for RPG'ers. But ever since I've taken
the N64 out of the box it's been gathering dust. The only games I have
for it are imports, and only two at that; Mystical Ninja and Wonder
Project J2.
To me, the PSX and Sony are the only one's who are truly
commited to bringing out what gamers really want; GAMES! And once we
finish one, no matter what our personal game preferences are, there's
always a new one just waiting to be played.
System loyalty is great. But like with constant delays,
promises, or the endless "just wait, coming soon" rhetoric, you can't
stick it in your machine and play it. So, my money, and my loyalty, goes
to Sony.
