Not only that....think of this: Compared to analog, digital is extremely slowwww.

Oh, and another thing...On my harddiskrecorder I have a digital gain
circuit....for logical reasons it is outclassed by far and in any way by
analog gain circuitry...IOW I don't use digital gain. :-)
