| subject: | recording VBR`s .mp3 to audio CD |
Hi Rick (of 1:103/705), On Thu, 15 Jul 04 at 05:17 o'clock, you wrote me: RC> What limitations have you learned about? I'd be curious to hear. Roxio doesn't support VBR (variable bit rate) mp3's. According to them, VBR is not "standard". I discovered Roxio's/ECDC's limitations with VBR when I happend to be burning a disc with several VBR mp3's and noticed that upon playback the recording seemed to get cut off prematurely. On one originally 20 minute recording, I only ended up with 12 minutes of it. Meanwhile, I learned that if I convert the VBR mp3's to WMA, and then burn the WMA files onto disc, I get the full length recording. I've also learned that NERO Burning supports VBR files quite nicely. ...August --- FMail/Win32 1.60* Origin: . (1:229/390) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 229/390 2000 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
