Hey there.

Absolutely. Graduated from Berklee in Boston in '79 (PreMidi!). Been writing
stuff before and since. Now I co-own a recording studio with a friend of
mine. Going to make it pay off full time, this next year, and using a fair
amount of music to do that.
I've just started doing animations on my computer, going to video, and I will
be needing music for that, too. I tend to do more inspiration and arrangement
rather than actual sit down and write techniques, though I can do either (The
blessing of a great education). Having the machines and toys makes it very
easy to go directly from your brain to the sound, skipping that fairly
useless writing it out stage.
I would have hurt almost anyone for these machines when I was in college! Too
bad that they didn't exist... I love being able to printout parts instead of
copying them all out by hand! I could have writtin a whole lot more music if
that had been possible back then.
what type of music are you interested in writing?
