Yes indeed.

This all has a ways to go before it shakes out completely,  but there are
going to be a *lot* of changes,  a lot of things that are going to end up
being very different from the way they are now,  and the efforts of those
who are making the money at the present time to keep it the way it is are
just a losing battle.

The entertainment industry as a whole seems to be locked into a mindset
that a lot of politicians can also feel comfortable with -- a hierarchal
structure,  with a small number of people "in control" at the
top,  generating "content",  for "the masses".  Never
mind that the 'net is provoking a completely different way of doing things
that renders most all of that obsolete.

Suppose we'd had laws to "protect" buggy-whip makers,  eh?
