Not to mention having to fly/transport major subsystems over continental
distances....ah your tax dollars at work....

& then imagine all the air miles people run up (at your expense) going
to meet all these disparate suppliers.

But....if a congressman gets some pork he won't vote against it so a part
from every state means the program becomes politically....a bit like Dorian
