Hi All! How are you?
/* [2151_08.TXT]
SupraExpress 56i SP Intl. SUP2171
SupraExpress 56e Intl. SUP2151
Supra PC Card 56K Intl. SUP2280
Changes from 1.000-02 to 1.120-08
-----------------------------------
Modem is now K56Flex 1.1 compliant. Resolves connect issue
with Lucent based racks (Livingston, etc).
Fixed a problem in VOICE to
FAX operation.
Fix V8bis detection during calling tone (to avoid some
connectivity problems).
Problem with assigning +FCLASS=1.0 was fixed.
Command #SPD=[0-8] and SREG109 added to support how
aggressive the initial K56 connection is. The default is 5.
Increasing the value makes the modem more aggressive. This is
added ONLY to allow those customers who complain that
connections are lower. Note that the modem through put can
be less even if the modem connects at a high rate. If the
modem supports NVRAM, AT&W must be issued to retain new value
after a power reset or ATZ.Fixed the half frequency answer tone in
AX
mode from VOICE mode (for PC Card)
Blacklisting disabled in some East-European countries.
Fixed ATI1 and ATI2 commands.
Moved Czech Republic in country group 5.
Changed country file for Spain to fix fax calling tone
detection.
The product name for SUP2151/2171 changed to fix problem
with INF files and installation of WAV files.
A change to MIC gain for International speakerphone models
was made.
The default values for S91/92 for Korea was changed from 16
to 15. The register is only 4 bits (0-15). Setting any
countries value to less than 15 (values are negative so 16 is
less than 15) will cause voice mode to treat the entry as 0,
railing the output to max. 8) A problem with &F1 (MAC) profile
was fixed. This problem caused MAC modems not to connect in
K56.
The following commands where added:
I91: Returns:
nn: 00 = Installed ROM dosn't support Diamond flasher.
01 = Has ASCII type flasher support.
02 = XMODEM support (not yet implemented).
mmpp:mm = The ROM's MFG code
pp = Product code
Current supported (firmware) flash are:
0120: AMD AM29F010
1F17: Atmel AT49F010
1FD5: Atmel AT29F010
BF07: SST 29EE010
Fixed several voice problems
In previous builds, ALL '#' commands where blocked if
target build was non-voice. This has been changed to only
block #CLS command. This allows new commands (#NVM/RES) to
function. All voice related functions require #CLS=8 (voice
mode) to be active.
Fixed problem with connect message in \V1 mode. The 'K56'
label was not being output when there was a K56 connection.
Default for S24 for all K56_DLL (PC Cards) was changed from
'0' to '10'. This is sleep inactivity timer.
The response for AT** was changed to use Rockwell's
original (download initiated...). This was required to allow
the Upgrade Wizard to work correctly.
A bug with Upgrade key in NVRAM was fixed.
CTS/DSR where being asserted to early after power on. DSR
and CTS are now asserted at the tail end of modem power on.
The data and fax flow control water marks where not
optimized. They have been adjusted for better buffer control.
The user will notice less CTS action in a typical session.
A problem with V.8bis detection in the presence of calling
tones for countries with calling tone enabled (international
modems) was resolved.
A problem with PC Card CIS information after a flash
recovery was fixed.
An error in the NVRAM recall routine was fixed. Certain
system variables not initialized properly.
