Hmmmph!  My test box hasn't got the CD bits or that DOSKEY  
gubbins, so is technically "cleaner".  Like you, I'm using the  
NOEMS and the FILES statement is about the same.
Which sorta strongly implies that it's a DR-DOS problem :(
