I had that happen to me the first time I bought my 288i PnP. Seems they 
orgot
to put a setup disk in the box and I had to go download it from their BBS 
before I was able to install the PnP modem. The file you need should be 
alled
legacy. Look on the disks that came with your modem and see if you can find 
it. If you cannot find it and you have an internet e-mail address I'll send

to you, or you might be able to find it on their web site.
