I'm trying to get the above mentioned modem installed in a computer which is
running DOS and Windows 3.1. It's in a newer pentium motherboard, and I can't
seem to get it to be recognized by DOS or windows 3.1....
The DOS "WTM" Supra utility claims that it can't find the modem...
If anyone's ever installed this modem into a DOS machine, with a motherboard
that does support PnP, I'd like to hear if you have any tips.
BTW, I have disabled COM2 from the CMOS, and during bootup, the system info
screen does show 2 ports, so I think that much is working correctly...
perhaps it's an IRQ problem...? Does the WTM utility only find the modem if
it's using standard IRQ's? I'll have to check later on what IRQ it's using...
unless there's a specific way to force the modem to use an IRQ? I don't think
there are any jumpers on this card... (Sorry if this is a little vague, but I
don't have the computer with the Supra here... it's my sisters).
